About the MGCA

Why does the MGCA exist? Why are we here? The short answer is "to promote and preserve the best interests of the Michigan golf industry."  That's what the mission statement says, written almost 40 years ago. That mission hasn't changed. We are grateful to our members and our industry partners for making the MGCA the "voice of Michigan golf business."

"As President of the Michigan Golf Course Association (MGCA) I invite you to join a dynamic mix of owners, operators and stakeholders who care deeply about the success of golf in Michigan.  It’s no secret that success starts by working together and sharing ideas so that we can all be successful in this ever-changing landscape.

I recently attended the MGCA 2021 MI Golf Business Conference and Vendor Show.  It was wonderful to be back in person among my golf industry friends and colleagues. The excitement and energy were evident by all that were in attendance.  One of the main topics of discussion focused on labor recruitment and navigating through all of the curve balls affecting our business the past 18 months.

The MGCA believes in partnerships and fostering strategic alliances.  Our association continues to strengthen our existing relationship with the MSU School of Hospitality Business.   Elevating the golf industry as an opportunity for students that are looking for internships is currently in the works by our MGCA Team.  It’s exciting to see how we can not only help our golf operations, but also provide students with understanding the business of golf.

The above example is just one of the many ways that the MGCA listens to the needs of the members and acts accordingly.  The Michigan Golf Course Association is a team that is dedicated to your success.  Our strength and ability to make a difference in the industry comes from YOU!

Please accept the invitation to membership from me, the MGCA Board of Directors, and the MGCA Team."
